At
the beginning of September,
2014, Stefano Cagol visits
for the first time the Grande Dixence
dam, a concrete gravity dam in the Canton of Valais (CH), the
tallest gravity dam in the world (285 m, 935 ft).
The dam gives shape to flowing water of the glaciers, and the lake is a
reservoir of... energy.
He visits the Grande Dixence involved in the "Stella Maris" project
together with Noah Stolz and Giulio Bursi.
“Stella Maris” is an
interdisciplinary and continuously-expanding archive that aims to
investigate and represent identity and memory in the transalpine area.
